This first ever workshop for DARAHLink users saw participants from several blood banks in peninsular Malaysia meet and exchange ideas in an atmosphere of focussed excitement and cooperation. Also gracing this workshop were senior representatives from the Ministry Of Health, from the National Blood Centre (Pusat Darah Negara, PDN) and key contributors to the Transfusion Practice Guidelines used throughout the country.

The proposed topics for workshop discussion sparked many spinoff discussions, some more animated than others, but all very enlightening to all participants of the workshop. Viewpoints revealing real-life situations and problems unique to specific blood banks were expressed, and some measure of appreciation, if not solution to the problems, was achieved.
